Published on May 15, 2008

USEHAZUS

USEHAZUS serves as a resource for disaster mitigation planners nationwide. Tunnel 7 established a strong information architecture for the website to allow for future growth and designed every aspect of the website from defining page layouts to selecting the color scheme to creating a logo. Analysis was important to the project so Google Analytics was implemented to track visitor traffic.

Kerry Lusignan, MA, LMHC

Kerry Lusignan provides counseling and psychotherapy services to her clients. Before this project she did not have a presence on the internet. Tunnel 7 guided Kerry through the process while designing a standards based website that provides her a solid foundation for future growth. Search engine optimization is a concern for this project and Tunnel 7 worked closely with the client to define keywords to target them in the content.

Why Web Standards?

Simple visual consistency

Because content and style are separated a style change made in one location affects content across the entire site.

Better search engine results

With the code being much more compact, search engines can easily read content and will display better results for you.

Website maintenance less expensive

With visual appearance controlled by a single file maintenance becomes a breeze. No more changing dozens of individual pages.

Accessibility to all devices

Cell phones, pdas, screen readers — a standards based website will render better in these than a traditional tables based website.
