Misosouper Highlights Unique Items

Published on Feb 20, 2008

Misosouper tracks down unique items across the internet and compiles them in one neat little website. Visitors to the website can read about these items and order them from the different vendors.

Built on the WordPress blog platform, Tunnel 7 started from scratch and designed the website around a fun-retro theme using a color palette and design elements evocative of this style. A new wordpress theme was created from scratch for the project complete with a custom style sheet utilizing some clever image replacement techniques. Like all Tunnel 7 projects, Misosouper was thoroughly tested in all major browsers on various operating system and validates as a standards based website.

Why Web Standards?

Simple visual consistency

Because content and style are separated a style change made in one location affects content across the entire site.

Better search engine results

With the code being much more compact, search engines can easily read content and will display better results for you.

Website maintenance less expensive

With visual appearance controlled by a single file maintenance becomes a breeze. No more changing dozens of individual pages.

Accessibility to all devices

Cell phones, pdas, screen readers — a standards based website will render better in these than a traditional tables based website.
